What you'll be doing

  • Take leadership in the integration of security best practices into the entire DevOps lifecycle, ensuring robust protection of cloud-native platforms and services.
  • Architect, implement, and continuously improve security services, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on automation and scalability.
  • Design and enforce secure configuration management, secrets handling, RBAC, and network policies across all environments.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on secure coding, DevSecOps principles, and emerging security technologies.
  • Stay current with the latest security threats, trends, and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in security posture.
  • Participate in on-call rotation (for stand-by operations). 

What we are looking for

  • University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, or comparable qualification.
  • Fluent in English, verbally and written.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-native environments, with a proven track record in DevOps and platform engineering.

Technical skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes security, including secure application configuration, RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
  • Deep expertise in securing Linux-based environments, including advanced shell scripting and automation for security operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) security using tools like Helm, Ansible and Terraform.
  • Proven experience architecting and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated security testing, code analysis, and compliance checks (e.g., SAST, DAST, dependency scanning).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Strong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) for building security automation and custom tooling.

Nice-to-Have

  • Contributions to open-source security projects or active participation in the security community.
  • Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and continuous delivery tools like Argo CD is a strong plus.
  • Kubernetes automated policy enforcement knowledge (e.g., OPA/Gatekeeper, Keyverno).
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, and remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments.
  • Experience with developing APIs and Kubernetes operators.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS 2) and their technical implementation in DevOps workflows.
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CKS, CISSP, OSCP, AWS Security Specialty).
